Health

At Carabiner, we understand the vast complexities of healthcare facilities. The subject matter itself is complex, with the functional efficiency of highly technical environments combined with the importance of a patient-centred experience. The stakeholder environment is multi-layered, often with large and diverse stakeholders involved who are extremely time-poor.

We also understand that healthcare design must shape healthy environments. In all of our projects we apply salutogenic design principles. These are good design features that have scientifically proven, neurological benefits for maintaining health and even aiding recovery from illness. This includes features such as access to views and natural daylight; connection to nature; good acoustics; good indoor air quality; intuitive wayfinding; and appropriate use of colours, patterns and textures. These principles are important within all built environments, but particularly important within health environments where people are at their most vulnerable.

Within an operational health campus, the delivery process is complex, requiring well-considered design, decanting and programming to minimise disruptions.

Our team are passionate healthcare designers, committed to delivering benchmark facilities that benefit a diverse range of people - healthcare workers, patients and their families. We enjoy the challenge of every new project, and the opportunity to work with diverse stakeholders to explore their needs and aspirations and deliver a built outcome that represents true value for money. We work with diverse clients, prioritising strong working relationships, and applying our highly rigorous and skillful approach to achieve simple solutions for complex projects.
