Community
We design community assets that reflect the unique identity, needs and aspirations of the people who work, play and live in these buildings.
Hubs of social engagement and participation
While it could be said that all public buildings are for the community, these projects are focused on bringing people together for shared interests such as cultural, leisure & recreation or sports needs. We work with local Governments, sporting clubs, community leaders and the users of these buildings and utilise our design thinking to balance and represent their requirements.
Our collaboration with clients may include master planning to explore the initial opportunities for the site, to providing guidance throughout the process of full architectural services.
These facilities typically include multi-purpose spaces, administrative/workplace areas, food and beverage, childcare, commercial tenancies and universally accessible amenities. We have worked to revitalise aging facilities through redevelopment, as well as designing community centres which have been newly defined to resolve emerging needs.
