Swan Active Midland Grand Re-Opening

🥳🎉 Grand Re-Opening | Swan Active Midland

Community based sport and recreation hubs provide a pathway for all ages to maintain physical fitness by staying active. The benefits these contemporary facilities provide go far beyond the gym, by strengthening and uniting communities through health and wellbeing, encouraging participation and play, and propelling commercial growth in the area.

Carabiner are extremely excited by the upcoming grand re-opening of Swan Active Midland 🥳🎉. The centre welcomes the community back on May 11th.

Swan Active Midland’s $30M refurbishment is a complete transformation, bringing together indoor sports courts, a bigger and better gym (4x larger at 280sqm), upgraded indoor pools, a wellness room for yoga and meditation, a spacious new indoor and alfresco café, and creche with capacity for 50 children.

The centre is inclusive; both universally accessible and equitable for all, meaning everyone can enjoy the activities, and champions sustainability, prioritising passive solar design, natural light and ventilation and low consumption fixtures and systems to lower the facilities’ carbon footprint.

The centre was designed to be as financially self-sustainable as possible, a topic Carabiner’s Pete Spence will be covering in an upcoming workshop at the National Sports & Physical Activity Convention in June.
